Refund and returns policy

Refund policy – tangible products

ActivateUTS has a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unwashed, with all the tags attached and in original packaging. We do not refund on items that have been used or worn.
You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at activate.retail@uts.edu.au or visit us in store. If your return is accepted in store we will process your refund within 24 hours. If your return is accepted online, you will be required to post your items to us (if you are unable to bring them in store) at your own expense. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can help resolve the problem. If there’s an issue with your order please contact the store on activate.retail@uts.edu.au or 02 9514 1147

Exceptions / non-returnable items

No refunds will be given if you have simply changed your mind. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Processing refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received your return in an acceptable condition and will advise if the refund has been successful. If successful, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Refund policy – club memberships

Purchases of club memberships are final and not refundable. Purchased club memberships are eligible for the term stated on the club page. In most cases this will either be to 31 December of the year the membership was purchases, or from 12 months of purchase date.

All club members are required to abide from the ActivateUTS Clubs Code of Conduct. In the case that a member is found to break the code of conduct that member will have their membership revoked. No refund will be given.

Refund policy – event tickets

All ticket purchases are final, and no refunds will be available unless the event is cancelled by ActivateUTS. In the case of an event being cancelled ActivateUTS will issue the ticket holder with a full refund within 7 days of the event cancellation.

If we become aware of any actual or attempted transfer of tickets in a manner that is not expressly permitted under these T&Cs, we may immediately cancel such tickets without notice and without providing any refund or other compensation.

If you have bought a ticket under a student price, UTS Student ID’s will be checked on entry. If you cannot produce a valid UTS Student ID, you will be required to pay the difference on entry.  If you do not hold a valid student ID and do not want to pay the difference your ticket will not be refunded and ActivateUTS reserves the right to refuse access to the event.
